Military Medal, G.V.R. (686607 Dvr., D.148/Bde. R.F.A.-T.F.); together with Memorial Plaque (Hereward Harry Lowe), pierced at 12 o’clock, good very fine and better (2) £320-360

Hereward Harry Lowe was born in Shrewsbury and enlisted at Liverpool. Serving with “D” Battery, 148th Brigade Royal Field Artillery, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 25 April 1918. Having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
