Thomas Bater was born in Cardiff. He enlisted into the Army on 8 September 1914 and serving with the 11th Battalion Welsh Regiment (Cardiff Pals) entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 5 September 1915. He was discharged due to sickness on 13 October 1916 and was awarded the Silver War Badge. Sold with copied research.
