Robert Stephen Firminger was born in Dulwich, Surrey and enlisted at Mitcham. Serving with the 111th Company Machine Gun Corps (Infantry), he died of wounds, France/Flanders, on 24 September 1917. He was buried in the Westouter Churchyard, Heuvelland, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
