Cecil Nora Kerr was born in 1875, daughter of Admiral Lord Frederic Herbert Kerr, who was the 5th son of the 6th Marquis of Lothian. Cecil was appointed Lady-in-Waiting to Princess Louis of Battenburg (later Marchioness of Milford Haven) in 1897, aged 22 years. During the Great War she served as a Nurse with the British Red Cross Society, entering the France/Flanders theatre of war on 17 October 1914. She later served at the No.2 Red Cross Hospital in Rouen as Housekeeper. Her brother, Colonel Frederic Walker Kerr, D.S.O., was killed in action on 1 November 1914. She married Lieutenant-Colonel Richard Edward Crichton, K.R.R.C. on 24 January 1915. Cecil died on 28 December 1960, aged 85 years. Sold with some copied research.
