Joseph Leslie was born at Mills, Somerset, on 3 August 1782, and enlisted into the 74th Regiment at Plaiden on 25 August 1807, for a limited period of service, a volunteer from the Somerset Militia. Cannon’s History of the 74th Foot lists him as having been wounded at Redinha on 21 March 1811. Sold with copy of entry from regimental description book.
