John Joseph Morley was born in Leicester and living in Whitwick, enlisted at Coalville. Serving in the Leicestershire Yeomanry he was killed in action in the battle of Frezenberg Ridge on 13 May 1915, aged 18 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial; sold with original forwarding slips for medals and plaque.
