Ship’s Cook Samuel Dumphey was awarded an ‘Anchor’ type Royal Navy L.S.& G.C. for 29 years service on 10 January 1844, whilst serving on the brig Bonetta, and the ‘wide suspension’ type L.S.& G.C. for 40 years service on 2 August 1856, whilst serving aboard the Second Class (paddle) frigate, H.M.S. Leopard.
