Walter Edward Rattee was born in Felixstowe and living in Marylebone, enlisted at London. Serving in the 6th (City of London) Battalion London Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 15 September 1916, aged 22 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
