Prince Albert Victor Receives the Freedom of the City of London, 1885, a large bronze medal by G.G. Adams, bust right in wreath, reverse Prince and Princess of Wales watch Prince Albert receive the Freedom from the Lord Chamberlain, 77mm (BHM 3182; E 1717; Welch 20). Extremely fine (£40-60)

400 struck. Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence (1864-92), who some believe could have been the notorious criminal ‘Jack the Ripper’. The ceremony took place in the Guildhall on 29 June 1885
