France, La Marseillaise, c. 1900, a bronze award plaque by H. Dubois after F. Rude for Arthus-Bertrand, figures representing the Republic against the background of a brick wall, rev. tablet on palm and laurel spray, named (Lucien Delteil, 1933), 67 x 50mm (cf. BM Acq. 1978-82, p.41, 68; cf. DNW 49, 898). Some streaks on reverse, otherwise very fine; in original maroon fitted case of issue [base a little distressed] (£40-60)
