Kilgour, 1924-25), 51mm; St Mary’s Convent, the Lady Jerningham Prize, a white metal medal, unsigned, legend in and around wreath, rev. wreath, named (Lower School, M.E. Brett, 1909), 51mm; Newcastle on Tyne, University, bronze award medals for Chemistry by J.S. & A.B. Wyon (3), bust of Algernon Freire-Marreco left, revs. wreath, named (Armstrong College: John Ormston, 1930; College of Physical Science: Birkett Wylam, 1921; King’s College: Helen Paterson Bisset, 1941), all 54mm [5]. About extremely fine and better, first with verdigris spot on bear’s rump and second pierced for suspension (£60-80)
