18th Century, Middlesex, Spence’s mule Halfpence (4), sailor and landsman, revs. Britannia, 9.61g/6h (DH 727); citizens armed, 10.93g/12h (DH 729b); Free-born Englishman, 10.23g/6h (DH 730); heart and hand, 9.47g/8h (DH 731) [4]. Last extremely fine with much original colour, others about extremely fine and better, first two with original colour, third patinated but with collectors’ number inked in reverse field (£180-220)
