17th Century, Kent, Newington-next-Sittingbourne, Thomas Boorn, Halfpenny, 1669, 3.25g/3h (N 2685, this piece; BW. 437); William Staninough, Halfpenny, 1669, 0.89g/12h (N 2686; BW. 438) [2]. First about very fine, second fair but clear, both very rare and the two certainly attributed issues for the village (£50-70)

This lot was sold as part of a special collection, The Collection of 17th Century Tokens of Kent formed by the late Robert Hogarth.
