A German Second World War Red Cross Man’s Hewer.
A very nice example of the Red Cross hewer, good blade with much original cross grain finish remaining with its saw back edge and screwdriver tip blade. All finish complete to the cast cross guard and hilt. Undamaged celluloid grips, front and back. Fitted into its correct scabbard, which retains virtually all of its black painted finish with minor abrasions to one edge. Good plated finish remaining to the lower chape with its brown leather frog, very good condition £400-£500
