George Mundy was born in Micheldever, Hampshire. He served during the Great War with the 1st Battalion, Hampshire Regiment in the French theatre of war from 12 November 1914. Private Mundy was killed in action on the Western Front, 6 January 1915, and is buried in Lancashire Cottage Cemetery, Hainault, Belgium.
