P. A. Owen attested for the King’s Royal Rifle Corps and served with the 2nd Battalion during the Second World War as part of the British Expeditionary Force. He was captured and taken Prisoner of War at Calais on 26 May 1940, during which action the Battalion was virtually wiped out, and was interned at Stalag VIII-B, Lamsdorf.
