Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Cape Colony, South Africa 1902 (7511 Pte. T. Seed. Vol: Coy. L.N. Lanc: Regt.) heavy edge bruising, polished and worn, therefore fine £60-£80

Thomas Seed was born in Ratcliffe, Lancashire, in 1877 and attested for the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment at Preston on 11 February 1901. He served with the 2nd Volunteer Service Company in South Africa during the Boer War from 16 March 1901 to 15 August 1902 (also entitled to the South Africa 1901 clasp), and was discharged on 15 September 1902, after 1 year and 216 days’ service.
