Leslie Pridmore attested for the East African Mounted Rifles and served with them in the East Africa, Nyasaland, and Northern Rhodesia theatre of War from 8 August 1914. He was commissioned Lieutenant, East Africa Unattached List on 9 June 1916, and was awarded a Silver War Badge.
