21st (Royal North British Fusiliers) Regiment (?), an extremely fine and most rare officer’s large size copper gilt gorget c1760-1780, the die stamped central motif being a crowned thistle spray with a tri-part scroll in three quarter surround bearing the Thistle Motto ‘Nemo Me ImpuneLacessit’, small die-stamped floret droplets in the tie areas, correctly manufactured over a wire frame the gorget is free of dents and retains approximately 70% original fire gilt, excellent condition for age £1500-2000
