The King’s Shropshire Light Infantry, an officer’s green cloth Home Service pattern helmet complete with post 1902 KC plate (KK266) and all other metal fittings, tailor’s label inside ‘387 Bowen Shrop LI’, all fittings totally devoid of gilt, the back spine ‘sprung’ and the spike finial distorted, the green enamel centre backing with large chip, the skull sound but with overall surface wear and several small moth/weevil holes through and into the cork £200-300

Note: Aubrey Percival Bowen was commissioned in the Shropshire Light Infantry in 1901, later winning the MC in WWI. See Lot 1310 for his medals.
