Sold with two identity disks and with a presentation silver box, approx. 162 x 114 x 60mm., with wood interior, lid engraved, ‘Presented to Lieut. E. E. Palk, R. Signals, S.R. by the Officers Air Contingent Signals on the occasion of his marriage, 21st October 1937’. Also with an (unnamed) forwarding slip for the E.R.D.
Edward E. Palk was born in Cheshire in 1905. Appointed a 2nd Lieutenant in the Supplementary Reserve of Officers, Royal Corps of Signals in 1932. Attained the rank of Major in 1948.
