Jack Brian Roberts, a Wireless Operator, was killed in action on 27 March 1940, when his Blenheim of No. 107 Squadron was shot down by enemy fighters while engaged on a photo-reconnaissance mission over Hornum on the Island of Sylt. He is buried in Kiel War Cemetery, Germany.
