Farrier Serjeant Edward Fraser Stanford, H.A.C., entered the Egyptian theatre of war on 20 April 1915. A group photograph featuring Farrier Sergeant E. F. Stanford, entitled ‘“B” Battery Sergeants’ Mess at Mazar (Egypt), Christmas Day, 1916’ appears in The Honourable Artillery Company in the Great War, by Major G. G. Walker.
