Charles Kent was born in Thatcham, Berkshire and living in Cold Ash, Berkshire, he enlisted at Reading. Serving with the 1st Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment, he entered the France / Flanders theatre of war on 13 August 1914. He was killed in action on 31 July 1917, the first day of Passchendaele. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial and the Cold Ash War Memorial. Sold with copied research.
