In a report on the 1st Hereforshire Regiment going into action, given in the Herts Advertiser of 16 December 1914, it states, ‘Pte. F. Archer, a St. Albans man, in the gun team, was wounded by shrapnel and is now in hospital, and other “B” Company casualties include ...’ A label with group states the recipient was wounded on 19 November 1914. Sold with copied extracts from the Herts Advertiser.
