Hodkinson, 38th Foot) short hyphen reverse, officially impressed naming, minor edge bruise and contact marks, otherwise good very fine and a scarce pair (2) £3500-4000

Samuel Hodgkinson was born at Macclesfield, Cheshire, circa 1785, and enlisted into the 38th Regiment at Lewes, Sussex, on 24 August 1807, aged 22 years. He was discharged in the rank of Sergeant on 21 January 1828, being unfit and with extensive ulceration of the left leg. Sold with copy discharge papers.
