General Service 1962, 2 clasps, Borneo, Malay Peninsula (21154683 Dvr. Tejram Gurung, G.T.R.) nearly extremely fine £60-80

Tejram Gurung enlisted on 19 December 1961. A driver, initially with the the Gurkha A.S.C. and then with the Gurkha Transport Regiment, his record shows several motoring offences - one in 1964 for driving a 3 ton Bedford truck at excessive speed and another in 1967 for being in collision with a civilian motor cycle. That aside, his Testimonial describes him as a ‘ ... useful driver of land rovers, 4 ton trucks and ambulances. ..’ He was discharged as redundant on 29 September 1968. Sold with copied Record of Service which confirms periods of service for both clasps.
