Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 5 clasps, Relief of Kimberley, Paardeberg, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill, Wittebergen (4255 Pte. A. Goodall, Hampshire Regt.) some edge bruising, very fine £100-140

Arthur Goodall was born in Boxgrove, Chichester, Suusex. A milkman by occupation and serving in the 3rd Battalion Hampshire Militia, he attested for the Hampshire Regiment in 1893, aged 18 years. Present in South Africa between October 1899 and September 1902, he served with the 2nd Mounted Infantry and was awarded the Queen’s medal with five clasps and the King’s medal with two. He was discharged in September 1905 at the end of his 1st period of engagement. Sold with copied service papers.
