Neil Cameron, who served as a Trumpeter in ‘A’ Squadron, Lovat’s Scouts, was killed in action at Gallipoli on 2 October 1915, aged 21 years. The son of Angus and Anne Cameron of Kinlochleven, Argyll, he was interred in Green Hill Cemetery on the Anzac-Suvla Road, Turkey. Less than 90 men of Lovat’s Scouts became fatal casualties in the Great War, and just 20 of them at Gallipoli.
