1939-45 Star; Atlantic Star; Africa Star; Pacific Star; Defence and War Medals; Korea 1950-53
(Cd. El. O., R.N.); U.N. Korea; Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., G.VI.R., 1st issue (MX. 48262 C.E.A., H.M.S. Collingwood), mounted court-style as worn, good very fine or better (9) £180-220

Christopher George Albert Cole, who was appointed a Commissioned Electrical Officer in December 1948, appears to have spent the remainder of his career on attachment to the Fleet Air Arm, not least with his time aboard the aircraft carrier H.M.S. Glory in Korean waters in 1952-53 - for a full account of the Glory’s activities off Korea, see John Lansdown’s history, With the Carriers in Korea 1950-1953. His next appointment to Nuthatch, the Royal Naval Air Station at Anthorn in Cumberland, was followed by advancement to Electrical Sub. Lieutenant in 1956, and, following similar services at the Royal Naval Air Stations Ariel, Heron, Falcon and Hal Far, Malta, he retired in the rank of Electrical Lieutenant in December 1964.
