Stone was taken P.O.W. with the B.E.F. at Hazebrouck in 1940 and ended the War at Stalag 344 at Lamsdorf; sold with a recording of Major E. Viney’s reminiscences of the 1st Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire L.I. in that action, and a recent publication on the history of Hazebrouck.
