Captain Henry Duncan Ryan Reilly was born in Lambeth, London and attested for service with the Royal Fusiliers on 2 September 1914. Discharged on being granted a commissioned on 17 October 1914, he attained the rank of Captain in the Queen’s Regiment on 1 June 1916. Entering the Mesopotamia theatre of war in September 1916, in May 1919 he was attached to the 1/5th East Surrey Regiment. Reilly was mortally wounded on 30 May 1919, receiving a gunshot wound to the groin and died the next day. Sold with copied service papers and m.i.c.
