British War and Victory Medals (M2-133682 Pte., A.S.C.); Defence Medal 1939-45, privately engraved, ‘J. Woolven’, together with an A.S.C. cap badge and A.R.P. badge, the latter in Air Raid Precautions Services card box, the first two in original card boxes of issue, extremely fine

Special Constabulary Faithful Service Medal, G.V.R. (Henry Woolvin (sic)), in its original card box of issue, stamped ‘Bucks.’, together with a scarce Buckinghamshire Special Constabulary War Badge, 1914, by Toye & Co., London, bronze, and the recipient’s whistle, by J. Hudson & Co., Birmingham, with impressed inscription, ‘The Metropolitan Patent / Bucks. / Constabulary Special’, complete with hook and chain, extremely fine (8)

Woolven’s Defence Medal, and three photographic post cards, one of a Great War family wedding group; together with several documents appertaining to Special Constable Woolven, including Second Police Reserve, Aylesbury District duty cards dated 24 September 1914 and 30 October 1917; and two white metal Coronation 1937 commemoratives, one for the Borough of Bridgwater.
