Harry Edmund Lodge was born in St. Clements, Birmingham and enlisted at Birmingham. Serving with the 21st Battalion King’s Royal Rifle Corps, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 19 May 1915 and died of wounds on 14 August 1917, aged 25 years. having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
