Three: Gunner G. H. Saunders, 33rd Trench Mortar Battery, Royal Field Artillery

1914-15 Star (L-20722 Gnr., R.F.A.); British War and Victory Medals (L-20722 Gnr., R.A.); together with two identical memorial plaques (George Harold Saunders); and eight minor school prize medals, etc; and two original photographs of recipient, very fine or better and a rare instance of two memorial plaques being issued commemorating the same man (13) £80-120

George Harold Saunders lived at East Dulwich and enlisted at Camberwell, London. He died of wounds in France and Flanders on 23 July 1916whilst serving with 33rd Trench Mortar Battery, Royal Field Artillery. He is buried at Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L’Abbe, France.
