Daniel Daniel was born in Whitechapel, London and enlisted into the Shropshire Light Infantry in 1893, aged 18 years, having previously served in the 5th Royal Fusiliers. Promoted Sergeant in May 1899, he served in South Africa between 8 November 1899 and 6 September 1902. He was accidently slightly wounded in the right thigh near Carolina on 7 March 1902. Daniel was transferred to the Reserve in January 1903 and was discharged in 1905. Sold with copied service papers and other research. Clasps confirmed.
