Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Relief of Kimberley, Paardeberg, Driefontein, Transvaal (4373 Pte. T. King, North’d. Fus.) good very fine £160-200

4373 Private T. King, 1st Northumberland Fusiliers, was captured and made a prisoner of war at Sannah’s Post on 31 March 1900 but was subsequently released. He was later invalided home and died on 15 June 1901 at Middlesbrough, England. He had previously served in the Sudan Expedition 1898 and in the occupation of Crete during 1898. Sold with copied service papers.
