Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bristol Commercial Token Bank Co, imitation Shilling, 1811, arms and crest within Garter, flag on mainmast to centre of flag on tower, tail of serpent does not touches n of token, rev. legend, reading augt 22, garratt, terrell, edwn bird, grigg, etc, edge grained, 4.13g/12h (D Somerset 32 and Mayes 32bis). Very fine and extremely rare £90-£120

D 32 and Mayes 32bis are one and the same; the punchmark on the Dalton plate piece, replicated on at least one other (DNW T6, 131) is absent from this good weight specimen, which clearly shows the legend to read
