Pair: Private J. Jones, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, late Montgomeryshire Yeomanry, who was Mentioned in Despatches, and died of wounds in Mesopotamia on 29 April 1918

Joseph Jones was born in Wrexham and attested there for he Montgomeryshire Yeomanry. Subsequently transferring to the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, he served with the 8th Battalion during the Great War in Mesopotamia, and died of wounds on 29 April 1918. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Basra Memorial.
