Joseph Alfred Axon (also recorded as Axson) attested for the Royal Welsh Fusiliers and served as a Drummer with the 1st Battalion in India. He died at Peshawar on 6 December 1892, aged 25 years, of ‘Remittent Fever’.

Sold with copied Death Certificate (listed as ‘Axson’ and recorded as ‘Irish’) and medal roll extracts.
