Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 2 clasps, Lucknow, Central India (Thos. Price, 3rd Bn. Rifle Bde.) clasps refixed, with ornate brooch bar, some edge bruising, very fine £280-320

Thomas Price was born in Kidderminster. A bricklayer by trade, he enlisted into the 1st Battalion Rifle Brigade at Aldershot in September 1855, aged 20 years. In October 1856 he was transferred to the 3rd Battalion Rifle Brigade and went with them to India, arriving in November. There, he was drafted into the Camel Corps. He was discharged at Winchester in May 1866. Sold with copied research confirming clasps and listing service.
