Edward Halford Ross served initially as a Surgeon with the French Red Cross during the Great War on the Western Front from 26 October 1914 (although not eligible for a 1914 Star with this unit); he transferred to the British Red Cross Society and Order of St. John of Jerusalem on 1 December 1914.

Isabella Leonora M. E. Grant served with the British Red Cross Society and Order of St. John of Jerusalem during the Great War from 18 July 1916 - her Medal Index Card gives the theatre of War she first served in as (3), denoting Russia.

Bestie F. Pike served with the British Red Cross Society and Order of St. John of Jerusalem during the Great War on the Western Front from 26 February 1918.
