David Ashworth Sydney Everton was born on 8 October 1960 and joined the Royal Marines on 27 September 1977. Posted to 40 Commando, he took part in both Operation Banner in Northern Ireland from October 1979 to 11 November 1980; and the Falklands War. He was discharged on 1 July 1983.
