School Prize Medal, comprising silver cross patté, hallmarked London 1851, the arms with floral scroll engraving, within central chased floral band an inscription ‘Reward of Merit. Presented to Masr. J. Roberts by his Preceptor Mr T. N. White Morden Hall Surry (sic) Xmas 1851’, integral loop and chased ring for suspension, very fine £60-£80

Morden Hall, Surrey, was built in 1770 and, after serving as a family home, became a boarding school for young gentlemen in the 19th century.
