R.H.S. Case No. 16,075:

‘Mary Marshall, aged 16, accidentally fell from the Quay into the River Ouse at Goole, Yorkshire, on 20 September 1857. Thomas Fletcher, aged 16, apprentice to a druggist in Goole, jumped from the Quay, a height of 20 feet, swam to her relief and supported her until, assistance came.’
