Two men with the name Andrew Wylie appear on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Roll of Honour: A Private in the Royal Scots who was killed in action on the Somme on 14 July 1916; and a Private in the 23rd (Tyneside Scottish) Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers was killed in action on the first day of the Battle of the Somme on 1 July 1916. A postcard photograph included with the lot shows a man in the uniform of the Tyneside Scottish along with his family.
