Walter Harold Whitrow attested for the Royal Army Medical Corps and served with No. 1 Ambulance Train during the Great War on the Western Front from 15 August 1914. He was discharged on 24 August 1918, attributable to ‘sickness’, and was awarded a Silver War Badge no. 443638.
