Award Certificate for the Polish Order of Virtuti Militari Fifth Class awarded to Szer. Jan Gawronski, 43 p.s.k., dated 15 November 1921, small tear to bottom left hand side, folds and pin marks, generally fair condition £60-£80

Jan Gawronski served as a Strzelec (Rifleman) with the 43rd Kresowy (or Kresowa) Infantry Rifle Regiment. The Regiment returned to Poland from France in 1919 as part of the 13th Infantry Division of the Second Army Corps and took an active part in the fighting around Warsaw against the Red Army in 1920.
