Pillet, semi-draped female seated under tree, reading a book, rev. allegorical figure of Learning with student boy and girl, cartouche above named (Georgette Dars), 80mm (PBE 711; BDM –). About extremely fine; in original maroon fitted case (£40-60)

Désiré Léopold Bellan (1857-1936), accountant, businessman and politician; a hospital and a road in Paris are named after him and today the Association presents awards for piano performance
