Germany, Hope for Peace, Dresden, 1633, a silver medal by S. Dadler, naked man looks heavenward, town and country scenes behind, ravishes of war to left, effects of peace to right, rev. clasped hands over city panorama, crossed spade and sickle in background, 56mm (Wiecek 87). Good very fine and attractively toned, a handsome medal (£300-350)

In Pax in Nummis [1150] Schulman attributes the medal to the Peace of Westphalia, 1648. Wiecek believes that Dadler made the medal in Dresden before moving to Poland
